Polyurethane (PUR) in its standard form is ether-based but can also be ordered as ester-based. Ether-based PUR is hydrolytically resistant and stable for outdoor use with good ageing properties. Polyester types have good chemical resistance with less swelling and increased resistance to abrasion. Normally the colour is yellowish or brown but can vary significantly. It is possible to achieve a wide range of colours. PUR can be obtained in hardness from 50 Shore A up to 99 Shore A as standard. It is also available in hardness according to the Shore D scale.

Polyurethane (PUR) in its standard form is ether-based, but ester-based is also available to order. Polyurethane, PUR, is an amorphous cross-linked thermosetting plastic.

Ether-based PUR is hydrolysis-resistant and stable for outdoor use with good ageing properties. Polyester types have good chemical resistance with less swelling as well as increased resistance to abrasion. Normally the colour is yellowish brown but can vary greatly. There are great possibilities for colouring.

PUR can be obtained in hardnesses from 50 Shore A up to 99 Shore A as standard. Also available in Shore D scale hardness.

Polyurethane, PUR, consists of urethane groups (-NH COO-). The material can be filled with various substances such as glass, fibre and colour.

Polyurethanes can be obtained in several different grades

Depending on their composition, polyurethanes can be processed in various ways. They can be reaction moulded using high-pressure or low-pressure machines, injection moulded, extruded, compression moulded, and foamed using several methods.
