- Excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance.
- Excellent wear and friction properties.
- Dimensionally stable material.
- Excellent resistance to high-energy radiation (gamma and X-rays).
- Good UV resistance.
- Low flash point.
- Good electrical insulation and good dielectric properties.
- Also available in food grade, approved according to EU 10/2011.
- Sensitive to fracture indications and microcracking.
- Attacked by oxidizing acids, bases, ammonia, methanol, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
- Difficult to inject, e.g. a it must be kept dry.
