Sustainability

Carlsson & Möller, together with our owner Indutrade, works towards the UN initiative Global Compact to ensure sustainable development. Together with the other companies in the group, we take responsibility and work for human rights, good working conditions both physically and psychosocially, against corruption, and to conduct sustainable efforts for a cleaner environment that future generations can benefit from.

Klimatfrågan står högt på vår agenda och vi arbetar tillsammans med vår ägare Indutrade för minskade koldioxidutsläpp. Våra klimatmål är i linje med Indutrades övergripande SBTi (Science Based Targets initiatives), validerade mål med kriterier för att begränsa global uppvärmning under 1,5°C.

Vårt övergripande mål är att nå netto-nollutsläpp av växthusgaser i Indutrades värdekedja till 2050, samt:

  • Minska utsläppen i scope 1 och 2 med 50 % till 2030 och 90 % till 2050 (basår 2023).
  • Minska växthusgasutsläppen i scope 3 med 25 % till 2030 och 90 % till 2050 (basår 2023).

It is important for us that, together with our business partners and other stakeholders, we work towards an engaged and developing sustainability effort where we take responsibility for global development.

The goals are in line with the UN initiative Global Compact. We report data annually to our owner, who compiles a sustainability report at the group level.

Employees

For us, employees are our most valuable asset. Well-being, competence, engagement, and development are essential for high quality. Our workplace should promote personal commitment, health, safety, and be a socially secure environment.

  • Engaged employees. We will nurture our employees' engagement and work towards a shared vision.
  • Leadership and competence development. Our leadership should be proactive, supportive, and engaging. Continuous competence development for employees strengthens our organization.
  • Diversity and inclusion. All employees should be respected and treated equally.
  • Employee safety. Our workplace shall be safe and secure, where the safety of our employees is the highest priority.
  • Employee well-being. Our workplace should be pleasant and welcoming, where all employees respect each other.

Environment

Through a responsible approach to our environmental impact and systematic efforts, we contribute to sustainable environmental work. The environment is directly affected by all the choices we make, including our purchasing and sales behaviour, transportation, manufacturing methods, consumption of chemicals, natural resources, and our waste.

  • Improved energy efficiency. We actively work to reduce our energy consumption and recover excess heat from our machines.
  • Share of renewable energy. We only purchase electricity from renewable sources. We have our own solar panel system of 56 kW, which generates part of our energy needs.
  • Reduced CO2 emissions. Vi ska minska vårt totala CO2e-avtryck och miljöpåverkan kopplat till vår verksamhet, våra tillverkade produkter och våra transporter. Våra övergripande miljömål är kopplade till vår koncern och är utvecklade i enlighet med SBTi.
  • Resource-efficient business travel. The majority of our company cars are of the eco-friendly type, which contributes to reduced CO2 emissions in relation to business travel.
  • Recycling. Our waste is sorted at source, and we recycle selected plastic types that can be reprocessed into new material. Other residual materials are sent for incineration, which generates district heating and energy.
  • Environmental certification. We are environmentally certified according to ISO 14001 and have relevant environmental goals directly linked to our environmental aspects.

Sustainable, profitable growth.

Through efficient resource use, innovation, continuous development, and improvements in our processes, we work long-term for sustainable growth. These initiatives help ensure strong long-term development while reducing environmental impact in relation to turnover.

  • Improvement work. We work with Lean Production (2009) for continuous improvement, which contributes to the sustainable development of the business. Each individual employee works systematically on improvements that contribute to strong results.
  • Productivity. Optimised, competitive production creates good conditions for efficient resource use.
  • Customers, partners. Customised solutions enable opportunities for our customers' operations and reduce environmental impact.
  • Satisfied customers. We are attentive and collaborate to meet our customers' needs and expectations.

Code of Conduct

We follow the same Code of Conduct as our owner, Indutrade. The code serves as the policy for our sustainable business practices and provides guidance for us as a company and for our employees.
