Semi-crystalline plastics

Semi-crystalline thermoplastics have a structured design. Parts of the structure of the thermoplastic are amorphous, which is why the material’s name is semi-crystalline thermoplastics. This material does not soften in the same way but changes from solid to liquid form at the melting point. The semi-crystalline thermoplastic has higher mechanical properties than amorphous thermoplastics.

Durable and easy to dye

Semi-crystalline thermoplastics are characterized by being made up of polymer chains that are more or less arranged in regular structures. The material contains areas where the chains are tightly packed. The forces between the chains are greater in these areas than between those parts of the chains that are in the irregular, amorphous parts.

Find your way among semi-crystalline thermoplastics
