- Low smoke development in case of fire.
- Withstands hot steam - can be sterilized.
- Good chemical resistance.
- Good resistance to stress cracking.
- Flameproof (V-0 rated without additives).
- High dimensional stability.
- High resistance to UV and microwave radiation as well as gamma and X-rays.
- Also available in food approved quality.
- Does not tolerate alkaline environment (pH above 9).
- Does not tolerate certain chlorinated hydrocarbons.
- Resistant to freon-based cleaners, refrigerants. and gaseous solvents.
- Not suitable as a sliding material.
